Snaffles, LLC is  proud to host another clinic with Linda Allen  in Aiken on May 26-27, 2012.

With more than 45 years in the equine industry, hunter/jumper clinician, Linda Allen brings a lifetime’s worth of experience with her. Early in her career, Allen competed and trained horses in an array of disciplines. She has developed and competed with horses at the International Grand Prix level throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as in Europe. On three occasions, Allen was a member of the United States team for the Nation’s Cup’s. Although she has been a contributor for several publications, she is probably best-known as the co-author of 101 Jumping Exercises for Horse and Rider, which is considered a staple and go-to guide for jumpers.

With course design experience in over 17 countries, this FEI certified course designer has created courses for prominent equine facilities and competitions throughout the world including the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and the 1992 FEI World Cup Finals.

As a four time winner of the USEF’s Walter Cox trophy for Course Designer of the Year, Allen continues to demonstrate her skills during her clinics. Her list of accolades includes: USEF Pegasus Medal of Honor, 1989 Show Jumping Horseman of the Year, and numerous more. Allen is also a founder of the International Jumper Futurity and continues to sit on the board of directors.

Currently, Linda Allen serves as a certified judge, continues her course design work, presents as a clinician throughout the world, and writes as a columnist for The Chronicle of the Horse. She spends her time living in Mexico and California.

The clinic will be a 2 day format, with groups not to exceed 5 riders.  Each session to last 1.45 hours.  Groups will be based upon the riders and horses level.  Groups will begin at 2’6”, and the most advanced session will be 3’6’ and up.  The cost of the clinic is $400 for both days.

The clinic will be held in a private covered ring, 100X200 with state of the art footing.  Stabling will be available nearby.  The address of the facility is 1170 Steifel Road, Aiken SC.

Auditors are welcome, with a suggested donation of $25 (more if you can, less if you can’t). All auditing proceeds will be donated to Friends of the Animal Shelter (www.fotas.org), one of Aiken’s voices for homeless animals.
